Last night, I stayed up ridiculously too late, playing with PicMonkey, a photo editing website that is free! You can edit your photos, make them look better or just plain wild like these. I'm impressed with all that it can do and I can really use this to manipulate my photos for my quilting or just playing. If you're interested, click the monkey in the right column!
I discovered PicMonkey through Spoonflower, the fabric printing company, where I have had some of my designs printed.
I will be spending more time on these sites!
I found a cool necklace on Pinterest the other day. It was hard to find the original photo on the Internet, though I finally managed. I discovered the blog came from Brazil and so I tried to contact the blogger and ask for a pattern to make the necklaces. No luck.
So, I thought about how to make something like it myself. I'm crafty that way.
Here's the result. I love it and I get compliments every time I wear it!
It turned out that cotton clothesline, wrapped with strips of cotton fabric and then wrapped with a varigated yarn worked perfectly. This necklace doesn't look exactly like the one that inspired it, but it really is great!
